I tried to view a recent flight but only the turnpoints were displayed and the barograph was a flat line. What's wrong?
In working with the new Cambridge Aero Explorer, I note there is not a menu for magnetic variation offset... How is that handled ?
I need to print the track and the baro of my recorded flight, ho do I do this?
I downloaded a flight from my GPS-NAV and the igc file was not secure. Why?

It appears that when a flight log is created when GMT rolls over to the new day a bug cause this unusual behavior. If you press the playback button you will see the trace appear in the vertical view. This will be corrected in the pending maintenance release.

The magnetic variation is not stored in the recorder and is thus not supported by the explorer. The only use for this variation is to adjust on course headings from true to magnetic. As the explorer does no course calculations, the variation is not needed.

I need to print the track and the baro of my recorded flight, ho do I do this?

Press the Alt key and the Print Screen key at the same time to copy what is on your screen to the clip board. Then open either a graphics program or Word and use the Paste command to paste the image to the document. You can then print using the standard print command.

I downloaded a flight from my GPS-NAV and the igc file was not secure. Why?

As there was no such thing as an .igc file when the GPS-NAV was designed it does not create a secure IGC file. The GPS-NAV instead creates a secure flight log in a file with a .cai extension. This .cai file is in the Cambridge proprietary format and does contain security. This security can be verified with either the Aero Explorer software or the IGC approved vali-cam.exe DOS program. The .cai file can be converted to a .igc file with either the Aero Explorer software or the IGC approved conv-cam.exe DOS program.

Pilots wishing to submit claims for badges/records should, as they have always done, submit the .CAI file to the record keeper who can then validate and convert the log to an .IGC file.

The 302 does create a secure .igc file during downloading.
