Introducing the CFR Flight Recorder

We are pleased To Announce:    The IGC has approved the CFR - 302A.  

Cambridge Aero Instruments is pleased to introduce the CFR Model 302A, a  new Secure Data Flight Recorder for soaring. The products are based on our 20 years of experience designing and building instruments for soaring. Advanced technology, including a 32 bit microprocessor and Flash memory, makes the system versatile and easily upgradeable by the pilot. No more returning the instrument to the factory or Service Dealer for firmware upgrades. At the same time, the CFR  integrates smoothly with existing Cambridge products. The new CFR-302A  offers multiple display options, compact size, and continues the Cambridge standard for performance.

Cambridge Flight Recorder (CFR)

Overview
The CFR is a economically priced flight recorder.  It offers many of the key features found in the logger of the 302.    

•  2000 waypoints 
•  record up to 100 hours of flight data at 4 second intervals.
•  5 V power output to run any Pocket PC  
• GPS Receiver with Remote antenna
• Flight Recorder - IGC approved (100 hours @ 4 second intervals)
• Single cable connection to any Pocket PC without power converter
• Compatible with the 303 with task editing and declarations, and final glide
• LED Status Monitor
  • Steady On - Power on, but not a good satellite lock
  • Blinking - Power on and a good satellite lock
• Single push-button
  • Pilot event recording
  • ON/OFF switch if wired for switched power
• Fits a small 2.25" (57 mm) instrument hole
• Dimensions: 2.5" x 2.5" x 6" (64 mm x 634 mm x 153 mm)
• Transfer flight logs using a Pocket PC or PC

The CFR and 303 Display selection give the pilot navigation functions without the need of a PDA and PDA software expense.
